Wheatpaste: Images on paper pasted up with glue made of flour, hot water, sugar & salt.
To make: Boil water, pour into container, add lots of flour, a bit of sugar and a bit of salt and mix until you get a glue-like substance. The sugar makes it stick, the salt keeps ants away. Paste on underneath and on the top of image with a paint brush or roller brush. It is hardy and will stay on for ages! Much better than spray-on glue...
